meet the team
Both local business identities who have established their non-medical businesses within the Redlands and provide a large portion of the local employment opportunities and business activity. Through personal experience and their business connections they have become frustrated with the lack of investment in local medical infrastructure and decided to take a personal role in not only seeing that local facilities can begin to cater for existing need, but to develop a world class medical and research facility that provides a genuine local option for career progression and professional stimulation for local scientists, medical staff and students.
Michael is an engineer, project manager and an entrepreneur with a proven history of delivering projects on time and on budget. He was also the Queensland State Member of Parliament for Capalaba from 2001-2012. Being a local businessman, his connections and multiple skills developed during the various phases of his professional career make him an invaluable member of our team. His leadership skills and familiarity with the process required to navigate a project of this complexity and magnitude ensure timely delivery of each step along the way.
A local GP since 2001, he has first hand experience of local medical needs. He provides real world advice regarding each stage of our project and is currently working at The Redlands General Practice located within Hub68. A passionate advocate for enhanced local medical services to cater for need he has decided to take practical steps to rectify the situation rather than continue to wish that somebody else would.
